BattleBox Pro V2Gaming PC
A UK gaming rig built by professional experts, featuring the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB, kept chilled by a 240mm NZXT Kraken Elite liquid loop inside the high-airflow NZXT H5 Flow.
It is aimed squarely at high refresh rate 1440p gaming, with headroom for 4K in titles that support DLSS 4. Compact enough for a desk, quiet under load, and assembled, tested and backed by our expert technicians here in the UK.
Inside the Build
No filler parts and no surprises. Here is what each piece does and why it is in here.
AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
Eight cores, sixteen threads, boost speeds to 5.5GHz and 40MB of cache, built on AMD's Zen 5 design.
Zen 5's gain is in how much each core gets done per clock, which is exactly what games reward. Where an older chip would hold the graphics card back in a busy scene, this one keeps feeding it. It does that inside a 65W power envelope, so there is less heat to move and the fans have less to do.
GeForce RTX 5070 12GB
This is the part that draws the picture. It is built on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture with 12GB of fast memory to itself.
Two things it does especially well. Ray tracing lights a scene the way light actually behaves. DLSS 4 renders the frame at a lower resolution, uses AI to rebuild it sharp, then generates extra frames in between. You get the detail of high settings at the frame rate of low ones.
NZXT Kraken Elite 240mm
A closed liquid loop. Coolant picks up heat from the processor, carries it to a 240mm radiator at the top of the case, and two fans push it out.
It is a bigger cooling surface than any air cooler this size, so the processor holds its top speed for longer instead of easing off when things heat up. The round LCD on the pump shows live temperatures, or whatever image you would rather look at.
ASUS TUF Gaming B850-E WiFi
The board everything plugs into. TUF is ASUS's durability line, built with tougher components and a stronger power delivery than a standard board.
It is PCIe 5.0 ready, so it can take faster graphics cards and drives as they arrive. Wireless and Bluetooth are built in, and there is 2.5GbE wired networking for when you want the lowest possible ping. Being AM5, it will also take a future AMD processor without replacing the board.
32GB DDR5 at 6000MHz
Memory is where the game keeps everything it might need in the next few seconds. 32GB is enough to play, stream, run Discord and leave plenty of browser tabs open without any of it fighting for room.
Running at 6000MHz in dual channel, it is the speed the Ryzen platform is happiest with. Quick answers to the processor show up as fewer sudden dips.
1TB NVMe M.2 SSD
Windows boots in seconds and games load in a fraction of the time an old hard drive would take. Open world titles stream in scenery as you move, so you do not get texture pop in when you turn a corner quickly.
1TB comfortably holds Windows plus a working library of six to eight large modern games. If you fill it, there is a spare M.2 slot on the board ready for a second drive.
NZXT H5 Flow Black
A compact mid-tower with a perforated front panel, so cool air reaches the components by the shortest route rather than being drawn in around the edges of a solid door.
At 389 x 225 x 400mm it sits happily on a desk or beside one, and the tempered glass side shows the build without turning it into a light show. Airflow was the deciding factor here: a cooler case is a quieter case, because nothing has to spin up to compensate.
Corsair RM750e 750W
Clean, steady power for everything above, with an 80 PLUS Gold rating. It wastes less energy as heat, so it runs cooler and costs less to leave on.
It is fully modular, meaning we only fit the cables this build actually uses. Nothing spare is stuffed behind the tray, airflow stays clear and the 120mm fan stays quiet. There is headroom left for a bigger graphics card later.

What Can It Run?
The BattleBox Pro V2 puts AMD's Zen 5 architecture behind NVIDIA's Blackwell generation, a pairing that suits players who want high frame rates without dropping their settings to get them. The Ryzen 7 9700X is quick where games actually lean on the processor, and it does it on a modest 65W power budget, so the whole system runs cooler and quieter than the numbers suggest.
In competitive titles the ceiling is high enough that your monitor becomes the limit rather than the PC. Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Apex Legends and Fortnite all run comfortably past what a 240Hz panel can display, which is the point of a machine like this: the frames are steady, so your aim stays predictable.
Step up to the heavier releases and the RTX 5070 does the work. Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong, Alan Wake 2 and Starfield all play at high or ultra with ray traced lighting switched on, using DLSS 4 to hold the frame rate up rather than turning detail down. The result is a picture that looks like the maximum preset and moves like the minimum one.
With 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz memory, nothing has to be closed to make room. Game, stream, capture, Discord and a browser full of tabs coexist without the system starting to stutter. The 1TB NVMe drive keeps your current rotation installed and streams open world scenery in fast enough that you do not see textures filling in as you turn a corner.
Outside of games it doubles as a capable workstation. Blender renders, Unreal Engine 5 project compiles and multi-track 4K timelines in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere all sit well within what this configuration handles day to day.
FPS Benchmarks
Typical average frame rates for this configuration at 1440p. Ranges rather than single numbers, because a busy scene and a quiet one are not the same test.
| Game Title | Settings | Avg. FPS |
|---|---|---|
| Counter-Strike 2Esports | Competitive preset | 250 – 350 FPS |
| ValorantEsports | High preset | 350 – 450 FPS |
| FortniteBattle Royale | High + DLSS Quality | 140 – 180 FPS |
| Call of Duty: Black Ops 6First-Person Shooter | Extreme + DLSS Quality | 100 – 130 FPS |
| Cyberpunk 2077Open World | Ultra, no RT + DLSS Quality | 100 – 115 FPS |
| Black Myth: WukongAction RPG | High + DLSS & Frame Gen | 90 – 110 FPS |
Indicative ranges based on published testing for this GPU class. Actual performance varies with game version, drivers, settings and scene.

Yes. Every BattleBox Pro V2 comes with Windows 11 pre-installed, the latest drivers configured, and all updates completed where possible. Simply connect your monitor, keyboard and mouse, and you're ready to start gaming.
What resolution is this PC designed for?
The BattleBox Pro V2 is primarily built for high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming at high to ultra settings. It also delivers very playable 4K performance in many modern titles, especially when using NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Frame Generation where supported.
Can this PC run the latest AAA games?
Yes. The BattleBox Pro V2 is capable of running demanding games such as Call of Duty, Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong, Alan Wake 2, GTA V Enhanced, Forza Horizon 5, EA SPORTS FC, Starfield, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2 and many more.
Does the graphics card support ray tracing and DLSS?
It does. The GeForce RTX 5070 has 4th generation ray tracing cores for realistic lighting, shadows and reflections, plus tensor cores that run DLSS 4. DLSS uses AI to reconstruct and generate frames, giving you a large increase in frame rate while keeping the image sharp.
Can I upgrade the PC in the future?
Absolutely. Everything in here is a standard part. The AM5 socket takes future AMD processors, there is a free M.2 slot and spare memory capacity, the case has room for a larger graphics card and the 750W supply leaves headroom for one.
Does this PC support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth?
Yes. The ASUS TUF GAMING B850-E WIFI motherboard includes built-in wireless networking and Bluetooth, with external antennas supplied. There is also a 2.5GbE Ethernet port if you would rather use a cable.
Is 1TB of storage enough, and can I add more?
1TB fits Windows plus roughly six to eight large modern games, which suits most people who play a few titles at a time. If you need more later, the motherboard supports additional M.2 NVMe SSDs and SATA storage drives.
Is liquid cooling included?
Yes. The processor is cooled by the NZXT Kraken Elite 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler with an integrated LCD display, providing excellent cooling performance while maintaining low noise levels.
