Sword V3Affordable Gaming, Reimagined
Why choose between a boring black box and breaking the bank? The Sword V3 delivers smooth, high frame rate 1080p gaming for competitive and everyday play, at a price that stays firmly grounded.
Everything sits inside a compact, airflow-first mini tower with a tempered glass side panel and ARGB lighting that brings the build to life from the moment you power on. Assembled, stress tested and backed by our technicians here in the UK.
The Story of the Sword Series
UK gamers were stuck choosing between stunning glass showpieces with flagship price tags and dull budget boxes with no personality. At House of Computers, we built the Sword Series to close that gap: high-end style with smart, sensible performance, made to sit proudly on your desk.
Inside the Build
No filler parts and no surprises. Here is what each piece does and why it is in here.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Six cores and twelve threads on AMD's Zen 3 architecture, with 32MB of L3 cache and a boost clock of up to 4.6GHz, all inside an efficient 65W power envelope.
Six fast cores is the sweet spot for modern games, and the 5600X is one of the most popular gaming processors AMD has ever made for exactly that reason. Paired with the RTX 5050 at 1080p it keeps the graphics card properly fed, so you get the frame rate you paid for, with enough left over for Discord and a browser in the background. The 5600X has no built-in graphics, which is why it sits alongside a dedicated card.
GeForce RTX 5050 8GB
This is the part that draws the picture. Built on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture with 8GB of dedicated GDDR6 video memory, it is tuned for smooth, high frame rate 1080p gaming.
It brings the latest RTX features to an entry-level price. Ray tracing cores handle realistic lighting, shadows and reflections, while DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation renders at a lower resolution, rebuilds the image sharp with AI and generates extra frames, so demanding games stay smooth without dropping the detail.
Arctic Liquid Freezer 360
A closed liquid loop with a big 360mm radiator. The pump sits inside the cooling block, pushing coolant through the radiator where three 120mm PWM fans carry the heat out of the case.
A 360mm radiator is far more cooling than a 65W Ryzen 5 needs, which is exactly the point: the 5600X holds its boost clocks through long sessions while the fans spin slowly and quietly. Arctic's design also includes a small fan on the pump block that blows across the motherboard's power delivery, keeping that area cool too. Thermal paste is applied by hand on every build.
ASUS TUF GAMING A520M-PLUS WIFI
The board everything plugs into. ASUS's TUF line is built for durability, with military-grade components, a large VRM heatsink and 2oz copper layers that keep the power delivery cool and stable on AMD's AM4 platform.
The graphics card sits in a full-length PCIe x16 slot and the system drive in a PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slot, with four SATA ports free for extra drives later. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 are built in with antennas supplied, and TUF LANGuard Gigabit Ethernet is there for when you want a wired connection. Aura Sync RGB headers tie the lighting together.
16GB DDR4 at 3200MHz
Memory is where the game keeps everything it might need in the next few seconds. 16GB is the comfortable standard for gaming today, with room for Discord and a browser running in the background.
Running at 3200MHz, it is well matched to Ryzen's architecture, giving the processor quick answers and keeping multitasking snappy. The board has four memory slots, so stepping up to 32GB or more later is straightforward.
500GB NVMe M.2 SSD
Windows boots in seconds and games load in a fraction of the time an older hard drive would take. Open world titles stream scenery in as you move, so you are not waiting on textures to fill in.
500GB holds Windows plus a handful of your main games. If your library outgrows it, the board's four SATA ports and the case's drive bays make adding a second SSD or hard drive quick and easy.
Cooler Master Elite 302
A compact micro-ATX mini tower built around airflow. The magnetic mesh front panel lets cool air straight in and pops off without tools for easy cleaning, while a tempered glass side panel keeps the build on show.
Three 120mm ARGB fans come pre-installed, and a ventilated shroud hides the power supply and cabling for a clean look inside. Up front you get USB-C alongside the usual ports, and there is room for graphics cards up to 365mm long if you upgrade later.
650W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU
Clean, steady power for everything above, with an 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency rating so less energy is wasted as heat.
650W gives the Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 5050 generous headroom, so the supply is never working at its limit and stays quiet under normal gaming loads. Built-in circuit protections guard your components, and the spare capacity leaves plenty of room for a graphics card upgrade later.

What Can It Run?
The Sword V3 puts AMD's six-core Ryzen 5 5600X behind NVIDIA's RTX 50 Series, a pairing aimed squarely at smooth, high frame rate 1080p gaming.
In competitive titles this is where the Sword shines. Valorant and Fortnite run past what a 144Hz monitor can display on competitive settings and Counter-Strike 2 sits right around it, which keeps motion clear and your aim consistent.
Step up to the heavier releases and the RTX 5050 does the work. Modern AAA and open-world games play smoothly at 1080p on medium settings, and DLSS 4 with frame generation lifts the frame rate further in supported titles without turning the detail down.
With 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz memory and a 500GB NVMe drive, Windows is quick, games load fast and you can keep Discord and a browser open alongside a game without the system struggling.
Outside of games it is a capable everyday machine for school and work, light streaming, photo editing and 1080p video projects.
FPS Benchmarks
Estimated average frame rates for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and RTX 5050 8GB at 1080p. A busy scene and a quiet one are not the same test, so treat these as the shape of the performance rather than a fixed number.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of gaming performance can I expect from this PC?
The Sword V3 is built for smooth 1080p gaming. Valorant and Fortnite run past 144Hz on competitive settings and Counter-Strike 2 sits around 140 FPS, while heavier cinematic and open-world games play comfortably at medium settings, with DLSS 4 available to push the frame rate higher.
Is the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X good enough for gaming?
Yes. Six cores and twelve threads with an up to 4.6GHz boost is the sweet spot for modern games, and it has plenty in hand to keep an RTX 5050 fed at 1080p. It also handles Discord, browsing and everyday multitasking comfortably alongside a game.
Why does the Ryzen 5 5600X need a separate graphics card?
The Ryzen 5 5600X has no integrated graphics. That is not a drawback here, because every Sword V3 ships with a dedicated GeForce RTX 5050, which is far more powerful than any built-in graphics. Just make sure your monitor is plugged into the graphics card rather than the motherboard.
Why a 360mm liquid cooler on a Ryzen 5?
Because it keeps everything cool and quiet. The Arctic Liquid Freezer 360 has far more cooling capacity than the 65W Ryzen 5 5600X needs, so the processor holds its boost clocks during long sessions while the three radiator fans stay slow and quiet. It also means the cooler will not hold you back if you upgrade the processor later.
Does this graphics card support Ray Tracing and DLSS?
Yes. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 has dedicated ray tracing cores for realistic lighting, shadows and reflections, plus tensor cores that run NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. DLSS uses AI to upscale your games and generate extra frames, giving a large boost to frame rates without losing image sharpness.
Is the system Wi-Fi enabled right out of the box?
Yes. The ASUS TUF GAMING A520M-PLUS WIFI motherboard has built-in Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0, with external antennas supplied for strong signal reception. There is also a TUF LANGuard Gigabit Ethernet port if you would rather use a cable.
Is 500GB NVMe storage enough, and can I add more later?
500GB gives you fast boot times and room for Windows plus a few of your favourite games. Some modern AAA titles take up 100GB or more each, so if you keep a large library installed you may want more space. The motherboard has four SATA ports and the case has drive bays, so adding a second SSD or a hard drive later is simple.
How big is the Cooler Master Elite 302 case?
It is a compact mini tower measuring roughly 390 x 203.5 x 430 mm, so it fits comfortably on or under a desk. Despite its size it takes graphics cards up to 365mm long, so there is room for a bigger card if you upgrade.
Can I upgrade the PC in the future?
Yes. Everything in here is a standard part. The AM4 socket supports other Ryzen 5000 Series processors, the board has four memory slots for adding more RAM, there are four SATA ports for extra storage, and the 650W power supply and 365mm of case clearance leave room for a graphics card upgrade.
Does the PC come with Windows installed?
Yes. Windows 11 is pre-installed, configured and tested before dispatch, so your system is ready to use immediately.
How is the PC tested before shipping?
Every Sword V3 goes through a full build and quality assurance process. This includes BIOS updates where applicable, cable management, thermal testing, hardware stress testing, driver installation and a final inspection before the system is carefully packaged for delivery.
What warranty is included?
The Sword V3 includes a 3 Year Standard Warranty, consisting of:
- 1 Year Collect & Return
- 1 Year Parts Warranty
- 3 Years Labour Warranty
- Lifetime Technical Support
Can I customise the specification before ordering?
Yes. If you would like more RAM, larger storage, a different graphics card or other upgrades, our team can customise the Sword V3 to suit your exact requirements before it is built.
