NebulaRTX 5090 Gaming PC

Our flagship build. The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 32GB, 64GB of DDR5 and a 4TB Samsung 990 PRO, held at temperature by a 360mm liquid loop in the NZXT H9 Flow.

This is a machine for 4K at high refresh, for ray tracing left switched on, and for creative work that used to mean waiting. Assembled, tested and backed by our technicians in London.

Inside the Build

No filler parts and no surprises. Here is what each piece does and why it is in here.

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Eight cores, sixteen threads, and an extra layer of cache stacked directly on top of the chip. AMD calls it 3D V-Cache. It is the reason this processor sits at the top of almost every gaming chart.

Games constantly ask for small pieces of data. When that data is already in cache the answer is instant. When it is not, the processor waits on system memory and you feel it as a stutter. This chip holds far more of the game close to hand, which matters more than raw clock speed once you are chasing high frame rates.

It also keeps the RTX 5090 fed. A card this fast is easy to hold back with a slower processor, and at 1440p in particular that pairing is where a lot of expensive builds quietly lose frames.

Socket AM5 · 8C/16T · 104MB Cache · 5.2GHz Boost
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card

GeForce RTX 5090 32GB

The fastest consumer graphics card NVIDIA makes. Built on the Blackwell architecture with 32GB of GDDR7 memory, which is a considerable amount of headroom by any standard.

Ray tracing lights a scene the way light actually behaves, with reflections and shadows worked out properly rather than faked. It is expensive to compute, and this is the card that can afford it. DLSS 4 then renders the frame at a lower resolution, rebuilds it sharp using AI, and generates additional frames in between, so you get the detail of maximum settings at frame rates that used to require turning things off.

The 32GB is not only for games. Large 3D scenes, 8K video timelines and local AI models all want memory more than anything else, and running out of it is a hard stop rather than a slowdown.

NZXT Kraken Elite 360mm liquid cooler with LCD display

NZXT Kraken Elite 360mm

A closed liquid loop. Coolant collects heat from the processor, carries it to a 360mm radiator mounted in the roof of the case, and three fans push it out of the top.

Three fans rather than two means a larger surface area to shed heat across, so each fan can turn more slowly for the same result. The practical effect is a machine that holds its top speed under a long session and stays quiet doing it, instead of easing off when things warm up.

The round LCD on the pump shows live temperatures and clock speeds, or any image you would rather look at.

ASUS TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WiFi motherboard

ASUS TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WiFi

The board everything plugs into. TUF is ASUS's durability line, built with tougher components and stronger power delivery than a standard board, which matters when you are feeding a processor and a card of this size.

X870 is the current top of the AM5 platform. PCIe 5.0 runs to both the graphics slot and the primary M.2, so there is a path forward for faster cards and faster drives as they arrive. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth are built in, alongside high-speed wired networking for when you want the lowest ping available.

Multiple M.2 slots and generous USB provision mean adding storage or peripherals later does not involve trade-offs.

64GB DDR5 6000MHz desktop memory

64GB DDR5 at 6000MHz

Memory is where the machine keeps everything it might need in the next few seconds. 64GB is double what most gaming builds ship with, and it is here because this system is not only a gaming build.

Play, stream, record, run Discord and leave a hundred browser tabs open, and nothing has to fight for room. Open a large video project or a heavy 3D scene alongside it and the same holds true.

Running as two 32GB modules in dual channel at 6000MHz, which is the speed the Ryzen platform is happiest at. Quick answers to the processor show up as fewer sudden dips in the middle of play.

Samsung 990 PRO 4TB NVMe M.2 solid state drive

Samsung 990 PRO 4TB NVMe

Samsung's flagship drive, reading at up to 7,450MB/s. Windows boots in seconds and games load in a fraction of the time older storage would take.

Open world titles stream scenery in as you move through it, so turning a corner quickly does not produce textures arriving late. Large video files scrub without waiting on the drive.

4TB holds roughly thirty to forty large modern games at once, so the routine of uninstalling something to make room for something else largely goes away. If you do fill it, there are spare M.2 slots on the board ready for a second drive.

ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Platinum power supply

ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Platinum

Clean, steady power for everything above. 80 PLUS Platinum is a step above Gold, meaning less energy is wasted as heat, so it runs cooler and costs a little less to leave on.

1200W is deliberate rather than excessive. The RTX 5090 can draw hard in short bursts, and a supply with genuine headroom absorbs those spikes without the system deciding to restart itself. It leaves room for future upgrades too.

Fully modular, so we only fit the cables this build actually uses. Nothing spare is stuffed behind the tray, airflow stays clear and the fan stays quiet.

NZXT H9 Flow dual chamber case with ARGB fans

NZXT H9 Flow — Black

A dual chamber case, which means the power supply and the cable routing live in a separate compartment behind the motherboard tray. You see the components and none of the wiring.

The layout exists for a practical reason as well as a visual one. With cables out of the way, air comes in through the side and front and leaves through the roof without obstruction. On a build drawing this much power, that clear path is what keeps noise down.

Five ARGB fans come fitted as standard, with tempered glass across the front and side, and the lighting is adjustable through software.

A note on these numbers. Figures are averages drawn from published testing of this hardware combination and our own bench runs. Real frame rates move with the scene, the driver version, the game patch and your monitor, so treat these as a realistic guide rather than a guarantee. Titles marked DLSS or MFG use NVIDIA's AI upscaling and frame generation at the quality mode stated.

Whether you're battling in Call of Duty, climbing the ranks in Counter-Strike 2 or Valorant, exploring Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong or Starfield with path tracing switched on, or racing through Forza Horizon 5, the Nebula delivers the performance to keep gameplay smooth, responsive and immersive at the highest settings available.

The GeForce RTX 5090 brings NVIDIA's latest Blackwell architecture, combining full ray tracing with DLSS 4 AI frame generation. This is a 4K card first and foremost, comfortable driving high-refresh 4K panels in demanding titles, and it has the memory to handle 8K output in games that support it.

With 64GB of DDR5 6000MHz memory, applications stay responsive while streaming, recording and running production software alongside a game. The Samsung 990 PRO 4TB NVMe drive cuts boot times, game loading and level transitions down to a few seconds, so you spend less time waiting and more time playing.

Outside gaming, the same specification handles 4K and 8K video editing, 3D rendering, photogrammetry and local AI workloads. The 32GB of GDDR7 in particular is what makes those heavier creative jobs practical rather than merely possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Nebula ready to use out of the box?

Yes. Every Nebula comes with Windows 11 Professional pre-installed, the latest drivers configured, and all updates completed where possible. Connect your monitor, keyboard and mouse and you're ready to start.

What resolution is this PC designed for?

The Nebula is built for 4K gaming at maximum settings, including titles with full ray tracing or path tracing enabled. It also drives high-refresh 1440p displays comfortably, and supports 8K output in games where that is available.

Can this PC run the latest AAA games?

Yes, at the highest settings those games offer. This includes Call of Duty, Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong, GTA V Enhanced, Forza Horizon 5, EA SPORTS FC 26, Starfield, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2 and many more.

Do I need a special monitor to get the most from it?

To see the benefit of the RTX 5090 you will want a display that can keep up. A 4K panel at 144Hz or above, or a 1440p panel at 240Hz or above, is the sensible pairing. The graphics card has DisplayPort and HDMI outputs capable of driving those refresh rates. Our team is happy to advise on a suitable monitor.

Can I upgrade the PC in the future?

Absolutely. The system uses industry-standard components throughout. The 1200W power supply and X870 motherboard both leave meaningful headroom, and there are spare M.2 slots and memory capacity available for later expansion.

Does this PC support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth?

Yes. The ASUS TUF GAMING X870-PLUS WIFI motherboard includes built-in Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth, alongside high-speed wired networking for the lowest possible latency.

Can I add more storage later?

Yes. The motherboard supports additional M.2 NVMe SSDs and SATA storage drives. With 4TB fitted as standard you are unlikely to need it soon, but the option is there.

Is liquid cooling included?

Yes. The processor is cooled by the NZXT Kraken Elite 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler with an integrated LCD display, providing excellent cooling performance while keeping noise levels low.

How loud is it under load?

Quieter than you might expect from a system of this specification. The 360mm radiator and the H9 Flow's dual-chamber airflow mean fans can run at lower speeds for the same cooling result. Under a sustained gaming load it is audible but not intrusive, and at idle it is very quiet.

Does the PC include RGB lighting?

Yes. Five ARGB fans are fitted as standard alongside the illuminated pump face and memory, and all of it can be adjusted or synchronised through software.

Is this PC suitable for streaming and content creation?

It is one of the best options available for it. 64GB of DDR5, 32GB of graphics memory and a 4TB NVMe drive handle 4K and 8K video editing, 3D rendering and local AI workloads alongside gaming and streaming without compromise.

What ports are available?

The Nebula includes a wide range of USB ports, DisplayPort, HDMI, Ethernet, audio connections and USB Type-C. The exact configuration depends on the motherboard and graphics card installed.

Does the PC come with Windows installed?

Yes. Windows 11 Professional is pre-installed, configured and tested before dispatch, so your system is ready to use immediately.

How is the PC tested before shipping?

Every Nebula undergoes a comprehensive build and quality assurance process. This includes BIOS updates where applicable, cable management, thermal testing, hardware stress testing, driver installation and a final inspection before the system is carefully packaged for delivery.

What warranty is included?

The Nebula includes a 3 Year Standard Warranty, consisting of:

  • 1 Month Collect & Return
  • 1 Year Parts Warranty
  • 3 Years Labour Warranty
  • Lifetime Technical Support
Can I customise the specification before ordering?

Yes. If you require different storage, a specific case colour, additional memory or other hardware changes, our team can customise the Nebula to your exact requirements before it is built.

Why choose House of Computers?

Every system is built by experienced technicians in the UK using genuine components from leading manufacturers. Each PC is professionally assembled, fully stress-tested, quality checked and securely packaged to ensure it arrives ready to perform from day one.
