Sword V2iRTX 5060 · Intel Core i5-12400F
Affordable gaming, reimagined. Why choose between a boring black box and breaking the bank? The Sword V2i pairs the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB with Intel's Core i5-12400F, cooled by a Valkyrie Dragonfang 240mm ARGB liquid cooler, for smooth, high frame rate 1080p gaming at a price that stays firmly grounded.
All of it sits inside the striking dual-chamber panoramic glass of the Vida Zephyr V2, giving you the show-stopping, multi-fan look of a flagship rig. Assembled, stress tested and backed by our technicians here in the UK.
The Story of the Sword Series
Every great creation starts with a problem that needs solving. At House of Computers, ours began by looking at the UK gaming landscape and noticing a frustrating divide.
On one side stood the breathtaking panoramic setups, immaculate multi-fan, dual-chamber glass showpieces that look like a work of art but carry a price tag that feels like a house deposit. On the other stood the budget options, trapped in closed-off black metal boxes with choked airflow and no personality.
The Sword Series closes that gap: high-end style with smart, sensible performance, designed to sit proudly on top of your desk rather than hidden beneath it.
Inside the Build
No filler parts and no surprises. Here is what each piece does and why it is in here.
Intel Core i5-12400F
Six Performance-cores and twelve threads on Intel's 12th Gen Alder Lake architecture, with 18MB of Intel Smart Cache and a boost clock of up to 4.4GHz.
It is one of the most popular gaming processors ever made for a simple reason: six fast cores is the sweet spot for modern games, and this chip delivers them at a very sensible price. Paired with the RTX 5060 at 1080p it keeps the graphics card properly fed, so you get the frame rate you paid for. The F model has no built-in graphics, which is why it sits alongside a dedicated card.
GeForce RTX 5060 8GB
This is the part that draws the picture. Built on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture with 8GB of dedicated video memory, it is tuned for high frame rate 1080p gaming and comfortable 1440p play.
It brings the full RTX feature set down to an affordable price. Ray tracing cores handle realistic lighting, shadows and reflections, while DLSS 4 renders at a lower resolution, rebuilds the image sharp with AI and generates extra frames, so demanding games stay smooth without dropping the detail.
Valkyrie Dragonfang 240
A closed liquid loop. The pump sits inside the cooling block, pushing coolant through a 240mm aluminium radiator where two Valkyrie X12 ARGB fans carry the heat straight out of the case.
Valkyrie's high-speed pump runs up to 2600RPM and the X12 fans move up to 80 CFM while staying around 29 dBA at their loudest, so the i5-12400F runs cool and quiet through long sessions with plenty of headroom to spare. The ARGB pump top rotates to suit the build and lights up alongside the rest of the Sword's glass showcase. Thermal paste is applied by hand on every build.
ASUS PRIME H610M-A WIFI D4
The board everything plugs into. ASUS's Prime line is built around dependable power delivery and straightforward, well-laid-out controls on Intel's LGA 1700 platform.
The graphics card sits in a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and there are two M.2 slots, so there is room for a second fast drive later. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 are built in with antennas supplied, and there is Intel Gigabit Ethernet for when you want a wired connection. Aura Sync RGB headers tie the lighting together.
16GB DDR4 at 3200MHz
Memory is where the game keeps everything it might need in the next few seconds. 16GB is the comfortable standard for gaming today, with room for Discord and a browser running in the background.
Running at 3200MHz with tight CL16 timings, it is the fastest DDR4 speed this platform supports, giving the processor quick answers and keeping multitasking snappy. There is a free slot if you ever want to step up to 32GB.
500GB NVMe M.2 SSD
Windows boots in seconds and games load in a fraction of the time an older hard drive would take. Open world titles stream scenery in as you move, so you are not waiting on textures to fill in.
500GB holds Windows plus a handful of your main games, and the board has a second M.2 slot free, so adding another drive later is quick and easy if your library outgrows it.
Vida Zephyr V2 Black
The reason the Sword looks like a flagship. A dual-chamber panoramic chassis with seamless glass panels, so the build is on show from the front and side rather than hidden behind a single window.
Moving the power supply and cabling into the rear chamber keeps the main compartment clean and the airflow clear, and the ARGB fan layout gives the multi-fan look of a far more expensive rig. It is built to sit proudly on top of your desk, not tucked away beneath it.
Corsair CX650 650W
Clean, steady power for everything above from one of the most trusted names in PC power, with an 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency rating.
650W gives the i5-12400F and RTX 5060 comfortable headroom, so the supply is never working at its limit, and its low-noise 120mm fan stays quiet under normal gaming loads. It also leaves room for a graphics card upgrade later.

What Can It Run?
The Sword V2i puts Intel's six-core i5-12400F behind NVIDIA's RTX 50 Series, a pairing aimed squarely at high refresh rate 1080p gaming with the headroom to step up to 1440p in many titles.
In competitive titles this is where the Sword shines. Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Fortnite and Apex Legends all run comfortably past what a 144Hz monitor can display on competitive settings, which keeps motion clear and your aim consistent.
Step up to the heavier releases and the RTX 5060 does the work. Modern AAA and open-world games play smoothly at 1080p on medium to high settings, and DLSS 4 with frame generation lifts the frame rate further in supported titles without turning the detail down.
With 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz memory and a 500GB NVMe drive, Windows is quick, games load fast and you can keep Discord and a browser open alongside a game without the system struggling.
Outside of games it is a capable everyday machine for streaming, school and work, photo editing and 1080p video projects.
FPS Benchmarks
Estimated average frame rates for the Intel Core i5-12400F and RTX 5060 8GB at 1080p. A busy scene and a quiet one are not the same test, so treat these as the shape of the performance rather than a fixed number.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of gaming performance can I expect from this PC?
The Sword V2i is built for excellent 1080p gaming. Competitive titles like Valorant, Fortnite and Counter-Strike 2 run well past 144Hz on competitive settings, and heavier cinematic and open-world games hold a smooth, stable 60+ FPS at medium to high settings, with DLSS 4 available to push that higher.
Is the Intel Core i5-12400F good enough for gaming?
Yes. Six Performance-cores and twelve threads with an up to 4.4GHz boost is the sweet spot for modern games, and it has plenty in hand to keep an RTX 5060 fed at 1080p. It also handles streaming, Discord and everyday multitasking comfortably alongside a game.
Why does the i5-12400F need a separate graphics card?
The "F" at the end of the name means the processor has no integrated graphics. That is not a drawback here, because every Sword V2i ships with a dedicated GeForce RTX 5060, which is far more powerful than any built-in graphics. Just make sure your monitor is plugged into the graphics card rather than the motherboard.
Why a Valkyrie Dragonfang 240 liquid cooler?
A 240mm liquid cooler gives the i5-12400F far more cooling capacity than it needs, which means it holds its boost clocks while the fans stay slow and quiet. The Dragonfang pairs a high-speed pump with two Valkyrie X12 ARGB fans, and its rotatable ARGB pump top suits the glass showcase look of the Sword.
Does this graphics card support Ray Tracing and DLSS?
Yes. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 has dedicated ray tracing cores for realistic lighting, shadows and reflections, plus tensor cores that run NVIDIA DLSS 4. DLSS uses AI to upscale your games and generate extra frames, giving a large boost to frame rates without losing image sharpness.
Is the system Wi-Fi enabled right out of the box?
Yes. The ASUS PRIME H610M-A WIFI D4 motherboard has built-in Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0, with external antennas supplied for strong signal reception. There is also a Gigabit Ethernet port if you would rather use a cable.
Is 500GB NVMe storage enough, and can I add more later?
500GB gives you fast boot times and room for Windows plus a few of your favourite games. Some modern AAA titles take up 100GB or more each, so if you keep a large library installed you may want more space. If you need more space later, the motherboard has a second M.2 slot and SATA connections for extra drives.
Can I upgrade the PC in the future?
Yes. Everything in here is a standard part. The LGA 1700 socket supports 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Intel processors, there is a free memory slot and a free M.2 slot, and the 650W power supply leaves headroom for a graphics card upgrade.
Does the PC come with Windows installed?
Yes. Windows 11 is pre-installed, configured and tested before dispatch, so your system is ready to use immediately.
How is the PC tested before shipping?
Every Sword V2i goes through a full build and quality assurance process. This includes BIOS updates where applicable, cable management, thermal testing, hardware stress testing, driver installation and a final inspection before the system is carefully packaged for delivery.
What warranty is included?
The Sword V2i includes a 3 Year Standard Warranty, consisting of:
- 1 Year Collect & Return
- 1 Year Parts Warranty
- 3 Years Labour Warranty
- Lifetime Technical Support
Can I customise the specification before ordering?
Yes. If you would like more RAM, larger storage, a different graphics card or other upgrades, our team can customise the Sword V2i to suit your exact requirements before it is built.
