The TP-Link TL-SG1428PE is a high-capacity Easy Smart PoE+ switch designed for surveillance, business, wireless and office networks. It provides 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports, two additional Gigabit RJ45 ports and two dedicated Gigabit SFP slots, making it suitable for IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones, servers and other network equipment. A high 250W PoE budget, intelligent power management, VLAN, QoS, IGMP Snooping and PoE Auto Recovery provide the flexibility and reliability required for professional deployments.

24 Dedicated Gigabit PoE+ Ports

The TL-SG1428PE features 24 × 10/100/1000Mbps PoE+ RJ45 ports compliant with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at. Each compatible PoE+ port can supply up to 30W, allowing cameras, access points and IP phones to receive power and Gigabit network connectivity through a single Ethernet cable.

High 250W PoE Power Budget

A total 250W PoE power budget provides enough capacity to power numerous devices simultaneously. Intelligent PoE power management automatically monitors demand and helps protect the switch when connected devices approach the available power limit.

Two Additional Gigabit RJ45 Ports

Two additional 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 ports can be used for uplinks to routers, NVRs, servers or other switches. Together with the 24 PoE+ ports, the switch provides a total of 26 Gigabit RJ45 interfaces.

Dedicated Gigabit SFP Fibre Connectivity

Two Gigabit SFP slots support compatible multimode and single-mode fibre transceivers. Fibre uplinks provide greater flexibility for connections between network cabinets, floors or buildings where copper Ethernet distances are insufficient.

VLAN Network Segmentation

The Easy Smart platform supports MTU VLAN, Port-Based VLAN and 802.1Q Tag VLAN. Up to 32 VLANs can operate simultaneously, allowing administrators to separate surveillance, office, guest or other network traffic for improved security and organisation.

802.1p / DSCP Quality of Service

Built-in 802.1p and DSCP QoS provides four priority queues along with rate limiting and storm control. These features help prioritise latency-sensitive applications such as video surveillance and VoIP communication.

IGMP Snooping for Multicast Optimisation

Support for IGMP Snooping V1, V2 and V3 helps manage multicast traffic more efficiently. This is especially useful for IPTV, video distribution and other applications where multicast traffic would otherwise be transmitted unnecessarily to every port.

PoE Auto Recovery

PoE Auto Recovery can automatically detect supported PoE devices that stop responding and restart their PoE power connection. This can reduce manual maintenance for remote IP cameras and wireless access points.

Useful Layer 2 Management Tools

The TL-SG1428PE includes practical Easy Smart features such as static link aggregation, port mirroring, cable diagnostics and loop prevention. These tools provide greater control and simplify troubleshooting compared with a basic unmanaged switch.

High-Capacity Gigabit Switching

A 56Gbps switching capacity and approximately 41.7 Mpps packet forwarding rate give the TL-SG1428PE sufficient bandwidth for simultaneous Gigabit traffic across its network interfaces. An 8K MAC address table, 4.1Mbit packet buffer and 9KB jumbo frames support efficient network operation.

Professional Dual-Fan Cooling

A robust metal enclosure and two integrated cooling fans help dissipate heat during sustained PoE operation. TP-Link rates the switch for operation from 0°C to 50°C, making it suitable for professional network cabinets and surveillance installations.

Professional Rackmount Installation

With dimensions of approximately 440 × 220 × 44mm, the switch fits a standard 19-inch 1U rack space. Rackmount brackets and fittings are supplied for professional installation in network cabinets, CCTV racks and communications rooms.
